NBTA FoundationThe GBTA Foundation, the research and education arm of the Global Business Travel Association (GBTA), today unveiled the new GBTA Hotel Request For Proposal (RFP). The new Hotel RFP is global, more efficient and easier to use, quantifies vendor sustainability practices and incorporates web service functionality for automation of data transfer. The process to examine and update the Hotel RFP was done with support from sponsor Hilton Worldwide.

GBTA Foundation, along with members of the GBTA Hotel Committee, the GBTA Foundation's International Taskforce and Technology Taskforce, and over 50 volunteers from around the world conducted an extensive review of the previous RFP. The groups created the new Hotel RFP to provide members and their respective companies with an invaluable resource for the 2013 hotel negotiating season.

GBTA Foundation's Executive Director Daphne Bryant said, "We are thrilled to launch this new Hotel RFP – it achieves everything we were striving for when we set out on this mission: it is a global RFP that is easier to use, it's cost effective and brings in the advances of technology in data transfer. After an extensive process and culmination of a lot of hard work with stakeholders in every sector of business travel, we've created this truly impressive resource that is unsurpassed."

The revamped GBTA Hotel RFP will be available free to members worldwide in October in the GBTA Resource Library, http://www.gbta.org/resourcelibrary/Pages/Default.aspx. The GBTA Hotel RFP was announced at GBTA Europe Annual Conference in Amsterdam.
