U.S. Bank Speakers To Address Electronic Expense Management, Global Card Programs At GBTA 2011

MINNEAPOLIS (Aug. 8, 2011) –Business travel managers looking for the latest in electronic expense management and global travel cards can hear insights from U.S. Bank travel payment specialists at the Global Business Travel Association annual convention, Aug. 21-24 in Denver.

U.S. Bank speakers will be featured at two education sessions during the conference. Here's the line-up:

  • Making Your T & E Card Deliver More Value, 9 a.m. Monday, Aug. 22. Alan Gibson, director of European Commercial Payments for U.S. Bank, joins a four-person panel discussion on increasing traveler card policy compliance and learning how to balance global payment system goals with local realities across geographies. (U.S. Bank began issuing travel cards to Europe-based employees of its North American multinational customers in July through its subsidiary, Elavon Financial Services Limited.)

  • Expense Management Principles and Practices, 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 23. Mary Miklethun, U.S. Bank senior program manager for Travel & Entertainment, North America, will offer a primer on electronic expense management systems: what to look for when considering adoption, what benefits to expect, where the technology is today, where it's heading tomorrow. She'll be joined by Tammy Wissing, controller for Concordia University, Nebraska, who will describe the university's journey from paper-based to electronic expense reporting. (Concordia uses U.S. Bank Expense Management, a tool that allows employees to easily manage travel expenses online while enabling travel managers to better track spending patterns and identify savings opportunities.)

Conference attendees are also invited to visit with U.S. Bank representatives at booth #714 during conference exhibit hours:
