GBTA Appoints Luis Fernando Yglesias As New Regional Director For Latin America

Alexandria, VA -- The Global Business Travel Association (GBTA)—the voice of the global business travel industry—is pleased to announce the creation of a new position within the association to support GBTA’s ongoing commitment to globalization.
Luis F. Yglesias will serve as the new regional director of Latin America and will be based in San Jose, Costa Rica. He is the chief executive officer for the Yglesias Group, a development group with a focus on resort hotel complexes and housing communities in Costa Rica. Yglesias has over 25 years experience in international business management working on strategic planning, organizational set-up and marketing strategies in Europe, the U.S. and Latin America.
During his career he held varying positions in the hospitality and tourism industry and specialized in the restructuring and management of hotel operations for large resort facilities in Costa Rica. He holds an M.B.A. in Export Industry Development from New York University and an M.B.A. in General Management from Fidelitas University in Costa Rica.

Yglesias will drive Latin American growth by enhancing member proposition and development. In addition, he will leverage his expertise and outstanding local country government relationships to expand GBTA’s overall mission to enhance the educational advancement and image of the business travel management profession and its members.
