GBTA Proud to Announce Starcite’s Kevin Iwamoto As Honorary Chair of ISM And GBTA Travel and Meetings Summit

NBTAThe Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) and the Institute for Supply Management ™ (ISM) today announced StarCite, Inc.'s Kevin Iwamoto as Honorary Chair and Lindy McNairy as Vice Chair of the 2011 ISM and GBTA Travel and Meeting Summit being held in New Orleans, April 19-20, 2011 at the Sheraton New Orleans Hotel.

The Summit is designed by leading supply management professionals and features up-to-date insights, tools and strategies to help optimize travel and meetings spend and align procurement with overall business performance. The two-day summit will cover the latest trends in indirect services procurement, executive viewpoints from the C-level and megatrends of travel and meetings procurement.

"As a former long time global procurement manager, I'm thrilled and excited to chair the 2011 ISM™ and GBTA Travel and Meetings Summit," said Kevin Iwamoto, GLP, vice president, Enterprise Strategy, StarCite, Inc. Linda McNairy, vice president, Strategic Partnership Management, StarCite, serves on the GBTA Strategic Meetings Management taskforce and is a former vice chair of the Groups and Meetings Committee.

Also new for 2011 is a Pre-Summit workshop on Strategic Meetings Management: Building the Business Case. This one-day intensive workshop is designed to help participants clearly articulate the benefits of implementing a Strategic Meetings Management Program (SMMP) in their corporate environment. The Pre-Summit workshop is open to both buyer/managers and suppliers of SMM programs.

The Pre-Summit workshop is complimentary to all full Summit attendees or available at a separate cost for individuals not registered to attend the ISM™ and GBTA Summit.
