According to the latest U.S. Department of Transportation's Bureau of Transportation Statistics, the airline industry as a whole generated $1.86 billion in other ancillary fee revenue, which includes frequent flyer sales, charges for in-flight entertainment, snacks, beverages, pillows and internet access. In addition, the industry collected $768.5 million in baggage fees and $553.9 million in reservation change fees.
